Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and other senior APC figures have arrived in Osun State ahead of a mega rally for the party's governorship candidate, days before Saturday's election.
The rally forms part of a final push by the APC to mobilise support in what has become one of the most closely watched and tense state elections of the year, with both major parties intensifying campaign activity in the closing days before the vote.
The visit comes amid heightened security concerns in the state, with police and other agencies stepping up election-security operations ahead of Saturday's polls.
