Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke condemned the arrest of the state's PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, and called for his immediate release, alleging the move was intended to intimidate his supporters during Saturday's governorship election.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said Bisi was arrested at his residence in Ilesa shortly after returning from voting, and taken to an undisclosed location without any reason given. "This latest sweep on my supporters... is part of a broader plan to give the APC unhindered access to change results at collation," the statement said.

The governor further accused the APC of working with what he described as compromised security agents to restrict independent monitoring of the collation process. The claims have not been independently verified by police.
