Liverpool are moving to complete a loan deal for Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo, with the transfer said to be firmly in motion after weeks of talks.
Under the terms being finalised, Araujo will join on loan while Liverpool cover his full salary, understood to be around €11 million net. Barcelona director Deco reportedly made the loan structure a condition of the move, giving Araujo assurances over regular game time, something the Uruguayan has been keen to secure after a stop-start role in Catalonia.
The move would add significant defensive experience to Liverpool's squad as they look to strengthen their backline ahead of the new season.
