Troops of the newly established 15 Brigade, Nigerian Army, operating under Joint Task Force South East's Operation UDO KA, dismantled three suspected IPOB/ESN camps and recovered weapons, explosives, and other logistics during a coordinated operation in Anambra State.

The intelligence-led operation was conducted in the early hours of Saturday following credible information on IPOB/ESN elements operating from camps at Osuakwa, along the boundary between Ihiala and Ogbaru Local Government Areas. Troops of 15 Brigade, working alongside the DSS and the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, launched a coordinated dawn raid and came under hostile fire before overwhelming the attackers in a fierce firefight.

Three suspected IPOB/ESN members were killed, and the three camps were overrun and destroyed. Recovered items included an FN rifle with ammunition, a pump-action shotgun, 15 sticks of dynamite, four motorcycles, and communication equipment. Further exploitation led to the arrest of a suspect identified as Chijioke along with two accomplices, who were found in the company of six children.
