The £117 million signing Rogers tapped in the opener before Joao Pedro took over, extending his pre-season tally to seven goals in the tournament with a second-half brace at Stamford Bridge. The result gives Alonso, who replaces the previous coaching setup, a winning start ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Chelsea were among 13 top-flight sides in pre-season action Saturday as clubs wrapped up preparations for the 2026-27 season, which begins August 21.
