Romelu Lukaku has posted an emotional farewell message to Napoli fans, confirming his permanent departure from the club after a stint that included winning the Serie A title.
"Dear Napoli, thank you for making me feel at home! Thank you for believing in a moment where I was with my back against the wall," Lukaku wrote in an Instagram post. "We did amazing things and I will cherish them forever. Forza Napoli sempre."
The Belgian striker joined Napoli from Chelsea and became a key figure under manager Antonio Conte, helping the club win the 2024-25 Serie A title and finishing as the team's leading scorer that season. His final campaign was disrupted by a serious muscle injury sustained in pre-season, limiting him to just over 60 minutes of action before his departure was confirmed. Lukaku remains part of Belgium's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
