AC Milan staged a stunning second-half comeback to beat Manchester United 4-2 in their final pre-season friendly at the Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław, Poland, in a match that brought an intriguing reunion between Milan boss Ruben Amorim and his former club.
Harry Maguire headed United in front inside two minutes from a Bruno Fernandes corner, but Samuel Chukwueze equalised for Milan before half-time. United missed a golden chance to retake the lead when Fernandes had a penalty saved by Lorenzo Torriani. Patrick Dorgu restored United's advantage shortly after the break, capitalising on a Milan defensive error, but the Rossoneri responded emphatically: Alphonso Cissè levelled before Gonçalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek struck within four minutes to complete the turnaround.
The result rounds off the pre-season for both clubs, with United, managed by Michael Carrick, having posted stronger warm-up results overall including wins over Rosenborg and Atlético Madrid.
