Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Barcelona forward Ferran Torres in a deal worth around €50 million, with the Spain international penning a five-year contract until 2031 and taking the number 9 shirt.
Torres, who scored the winning goal in extra time as Spain beat Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final, had entered the final year of his Barcelona contract and asked to leave despite the club's willingness to extend his deal. "I'm delighted to be beginning a new adventure at such an ambitious club as Paris Saint-Germain," Torres said, thanking club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and coach Luis Enrique, who previously managed him with the Spanish national team.
Over four and a half seasons at Barcelona, Torres made 207 appearances and scored 65 goals, winning three La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups. The move reunites him with Luis Enrique at PSG, who are looking to build on their Champions League and UEFA Super Cup successes heading into the new season.
