Turkish side Trabzonspor are in advanced talks to sign Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez on loan from Saudi club Al-Hilal, with the move edging closer to completion.
Trabzonspor have proposed an €8 million loan payment for Núñez, whose value has fallen sharply since joining Al-Hilal from Liverpool for €53 million last year. Talks are being led directly by club chairman Ertuğrul Doğan and his deputy İbrahim Şahinkaya, with Núñez reportedly having already agreed personal terms.
A key factor in the move is the prospect of reuniting with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, who joined Trabzonspor earlier this summer. The two played together at Anfield between 2022 and 2025. Should the transfer go through, Núñez would fly to Turkey to complete a medical and sign his contract, with both clubs still working through the final financial details.
