Police in Enugu State say they have arrested 12 kidnappers who allegedly collected large ransoms and then killed a female victim.
The police in Enugu State say they have arrested 12 suspected kidnappers who allegedly collected ransoms — reported at $98,700 and ₦30.5 million — and then killed a female victim.
The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Bitrus Giwa, disclosed this during a press briefing and parade of the suspects at the State Police Headquarters. He said the suspects were arrested through intelligence-led operations conducted across several states, including the FCT, Enugu, Kogi, Nasarawa, Rivers, Kwara and Taraba, on various dates in June, July and August 2026.
None of the suspects has been convicted of any offence; investigations are continuing.
