First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Leads Zonal Launch of National Food Bank Programme in Ogun

Nigeria’s First Lady headlined the South-West zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme in Ogun State, distributing food to vulnerable residents and commissioning several projects.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, led governors, First Ladies and other dignitaries to Ogun State for the zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, which distributes food items to vulnerable and indigent residents. The programme commenced at Makun, Sagamu.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Mrs Tinubu also commissioned the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate at Kobape, Abeokuta, and the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed hospital in Abeokuta.
The initiative is part of the Federal Government’s social intervention efforts. The broader programme targets 500,000 vulnerable households nationwide in its first year, focusing on children under six, and pregnant and lactating mothers.
