Manchester United have opened contract talks with captain Bruno Fernandes and hope to reach a deal soon, with the midfielder prioritising a stay despite outside interest.
Manchester United are in talks over a new contract for club captain Bruno Fernandes, with the two sides working to reach an agreement soon.
The 31-year-old, whose current deal runs until 2027 with a one-year option, is central to Michael Carrick’s plans after an outstanding campaign in which he helped drive United’s Champions League qualification. A release clause reportedly set around €65m lapsed earlier this summer.
Galatasaray have been credited with long-standing interest — reportedly tabling a proposal for the Portugal international — alongside admirers in Saudi Arabia and Europe. But reporting indicates Fernandes is prioritising a stay at Old Trafford, and United have shown no interest in a sale.
