Cristiano Ronaldo Marries Georgina Rodríguez in Private Portugal Ceremony

The Portuguese superstar and his longtime partner tied the knot in Cascais after a decade together, in an intimate ceremony attended by their five children.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially husband and wife. The couple married on Tuesday in a civil ceremony in Cascais, a coastal town in western Portugal near Lisbon, according to the footballer’s PR team, which described it as “a private and intimate moment attended by their five children.”

Ronaldo, 41, announced the news himself, sharing a photo of the couple’s hands showing their wedding bands, captioned simply “C ❤️ G.” The wedding capped a decade-long relationship that began when the pair met in Madrid in 2016.

The ceremony followed days of speculation in Portuguese media over its timing and location, with earlier reports pointing to Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace. Instead, the couple pulled off the celebration far more privately.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who recently played in his record-tying sixth World Cup for Portugal, currently plays for Saudi club Al-Nassr. Rodríguez rose to prominence in her own right through the Netflix series “I Am Georgina.”
