Tinubu Renews Tenure of NAN MD and NTA DG for Another Three Years

President Tinubu has renewed the tenure of NAN Managing Director Ali Mohammed Ali and NTA Director-General Abdulhamid Dembos for another three-year term, effective October 2026.

President Bola Tinubu has renewed the tenure of the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Malam Ali Mohammed Ali, and the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, for another three-year term.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the two media chiefs were first appointed on October 20, 2023, and that their second term will begin on October 20, 2026.

Onanuga described Ali as a veteran journalist and media manager with over 30 years of experience and a keen interest in digital media evolution, while Dembos, from Yola in Adamawa State, is a former National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union (RATTAWU) who rose through the NTA’s ranks. President Tinubu urged both executives to justify the confidence reposed in them and to continue promoting the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
