Grammy-nominated Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has released her third studio album, “Starrgirl,” via Mavin Records and Republic Records. The 16-track project arrived on Friday, August 14, 2026, and features collaborations with Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, Leon Thomas and others.
Following her acclaimed 2024 album “The Year I Turned 21,” the record blends Afropop, R&B and global pop, and has been described by critics as an affirmation of her place among Afrobeats’ leading talents. Built on pre-release singles including “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid and “Who’s Dat Girl” featuring Rema, the album — wrapped in a striking purple aesthetic with a Yoruba gele on its cover — explores themes of self-sovereignty, identity and growth.
The 24-year-old, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, called it “a highly personal milestone.”
